The first round of winners has been revealed for the Audio Content Fund, with eight different production companies commissioned to produce a wide range of programmes for a variety of commercial and community radio stations.

Eight different production companies were awarded a total of £234k to make programees for a wide range of commercial and community radio stations.

Will Jackson, Managing Director of AudioUK said:

“These exciting projects, made by a range of production companies for so many different radio stations, illustrate perfectly why we put the case for the Audio Content Fund to government.

Congratulations to all the companies whose bids were successful. Quite apart from the immediate impact these programmes will have, these new partnerships can only help our sector to continue to grow and help commercial radio be able to include more public service content.

It’s particularly good to see so many different companies, large and small and based around the UK, being successful in winning this funding.

We’re really pleased that, working with Radiocentre, we’ve achieved this landmark new pilot scheme and look forward to the many new ideas and partnerships yet to come.”
